Tonight’s discussion

Lab

  • Review one another’s assignments for tonight. Comment/provide feedback on each person’s post! Think about how their ideas nudge your own.
    Since no one did not do this — this is tonight’s lab assignment:

  • Since most did not do this exercise, it’s next. It is IMPERATIVE that you do this step!
    • Examine three competition apps. Look at colors / design / website / online store (GooglePlay, iTunes). Write an analysis of your evaluation; use screen captures.
      :: Andrew | Jackson | Katie | Nicole | Raisa
  • THIS comes later, if you finish the prior exercise(s).
    Work on screen flows – try to get these beyond rudimentary sketches to more polished deliverables.
  • Remember to include text/data entry steps in the application flows

Next session assignments

  • Upload a version (or revision) of your app to InVisionApp — this should include your login flow (with all of its possibilities, not just success) and at least one primary task flow. Post the URL to your InVisionApp to Slack (projects) by 5 pm Monday. In that post, tell us what task flow you’ve picked and why.
    • Include your application icon in your InVisionApp . This is branding! Also, make a post in Slack (projects) where you upload your app icon and talk about it – so we can give private feedback.
  • Be prepared to lead peer session. Post your PPT or other materials to Slack by 6 pm Monday. Approximately 15 minute presentation / consider having visuals (like PPT) / have two-three questions for the class for discussion
    • Session 7, July 13: Getting to market, iOS – Raisa
    • Session 7, July 13: Getting to market, Android – Nicole
    • Session 8, July 15: Speaking the lingo: CDMA/GSM – Jackson
    • Session 8, July 15: Speaking the lingo: 3G/4G/LTE networks – Katie
